Dust Detective Kit

The Dust Detective is a dust survey meter that is quick to assemble and deploy. The measurements can be downloaded to a computer for analysis and reporting.

Gravimetric and Real-Time

Both gravimetric and real-time dust measurements can be made. Foam inserts can be used to select PM10, PM2.5 and respirable fractions to be taken.

Hand Held Dust Meter

The main component in the Dust Detective is the CEL712 Microdust Pro Dust Meter. This meter can be easily removed from the case and used hand-held, giving a real-time display of the results.

Static Dust Sampling

The Dust Detective consists of a CEL712 Microdust Pro Dust Meter enclosed in a strong carrying case, together with a TUFF air sampling pump.

The case is weatherproof (IP65) and can be secured using padlocks (not included). Assembly is quick and easy, and no external power is needed as the internal dry cell batteries allow autonomous operation for 13 hours.

The air sample is drawn into the enclosure via filters if required to allow gravimetric samples to be obtained. These filters can also be used to determine the nature of the particulate pollution for source apportionment issues.

Dust levels are recorded and can be downloaded at the end of the sampling period.
