The "Cirrus Trojan" Noise Nuisance Recorder, order code NNR-P-A1, contains a Class 1 data logging sound level meter to continuously measure the sound levels. A button can be pressed to start an audio recording, which can be used to positively identify the source of the noise - music, dog barking, shouting, etc.
Noise nuisance recorders are generally used when dealing with neighbour noise issues. The levels measured by the sound level meter are used alongside the audio recordings as proof of nuisance. The sound level meter that is included can be taken out of the case and used hand-held for both occupational and environmental noise assessments.
