The Type or Class of a sound level meter or calibrator describes its accuracy as defined by the relevant international standards. At NoiseMeters we have instruments meeting Type 1 and Type 2 (Class 1 and Class 2).

Please note that our Type 1 instruments are usually fitted with a removable pre-amplifier (microphone stem) so that they can take a microphone extension cable.
