Data Logging Noise Activated Warning Sign
The SoundLog (order code SE2Log) Noise Activated Warning Sign is
based on the SoundEar 2000 but with an
additional plug-in unit that stores the average noise level every
five minutes. This stored data can be downloaded to a computer using
the software and download cable provided.
Noisy Applications
- Factory and industrial noise
- Club club, disco and pub noise
- School halls
|
Quiet Applications
- Hospitals
- Open plan offices and call centres
- School Classrooms
|
 |
As this sign stores the noise levels, it is
ideal for those environments where the noise levels need to
be controlled but do not have a person of authority available
at all times. |

 |
The data logging noise sign consists of the
following items:
- SoundEar 2000 Noise Warning Sign with extra connection
for data logger
- Plug-in data logging unit (seen at the top of the sign)
- Download cable, cradle and SoundLog Windows software
The noise warning sign can be set to have a threshold level
of between 40 and 115 dB(A) in 5 dB steps (see the SoundEar
2000 page for more details). The data logging part stores
the average noise levels every five minutes from 18 dB below
the threshold to 30 dB above. |
Using and Downloading the Logging Noise Activated Warning Sign
| The data logging unit plugs into the top of the
sign and is a simple push-fit. The logger is fitted to the sign
and then the sign is plugged into the mains supply using the
adapter supplied. The unit is now storing the noise levels and
will continue to do so for up to four weeks. To download the
data, switch the sign off, remove the logging unit from the
top and connect it to the computer using the cable supplied. |

|
The software that is supplied with the sign
is very easy to use and leads you through the process of downloading
the data.
Once downloaded the noise levels can be viewed in different
graphical formats and simple reports can be printed. |
