This Class 1 Integrating Sound Level is ideal for any
acoustic professional involved in occupational noise measurement
(protection of hearing) or environmental noise surveys (BS4142,
PPG24). The standard meters satisfies most applications as it includes
the basic parameters such LAeq, LCpeak,
Ln as well as real-time Octave
Band Filters. It can be used as a simple hand-held meter for
quick noise measurements, or the powerful timers and data logger
can make more detailed analysis an easy task.
If you are involved in monitoring noisy neighbours, or have any
other application where you need to listen to the actual sound,
then the SVAN 957 has an option to record the audio. It is also
available as part of a complete Noise
Nuisance Recorder.

Noise at Work Measurement
The SVAN 957 measures the all important LAeq (A-weighted
Leq) and the LCPeak (C-Weighted Peak) for a basic noise survey.
It can also measure the Octave Band Spectrum, which can be
used for a details hearing protector assessment.
Environmental Noise Measurement
As well as the usual parameters provided by an Integrating
Sound Level Meter, the SVAN 957 calculates the Ln values (L1,
L5, L10, L90, L95, L99). It can easily be set to measure over
timed periods (e.g. repeating 15-minute measurements) and can
store a detailed time-history of the noise levels.
