June 2008 - "C" Weighting Added to Integrating Meter

The popular CR262 Integrating Sound Level Meter has now become even more useful with the addition of "C" Frequency Weighting alongside the existing "A" weighting.

Hearing Protector Calculations

The greatest benefit of "C" weighting is the ability to estimate the protection offered by different makes and models of hearing protector. Each protector will be provided with an SNR figure and with HML figures too. The SNR method is usually the easiest to use but the HML will give more reliable results. With the new CR262A Integrating Sound Level Meter you can use either the SNR or the HML calculation method.

USB Interface

Meters fitted with the UP260 Data Logging upgrade now have a USB connection in place of the old RS232 interface, giving better compatibility with modern computers.
