Applications
- Noise at work assessments to Physical Agents (Noise) Directive 2003/10/EC
- Checking the suitability of hearing protection for a very noisy working
environment.
- General occupational noise exposure measurements
- Assess sound levels in factories and other work environments
As the CR162C Optimus Red meter has Real-Time Octave Band Filters it can be used for noise assessments in the most demanding environments. Where noise levels are very high, the software takes the Octave Band measurement and calculates the sound level at the ear when using different brands of hearing protector.
Hearing protection assessment is a requirement for areas with high noise levels. The Octave Band Method, as described in the HSE's guidelines, it the most accurate way to do this. |
