Sound Level Meters for Workplaces with High Noise Levels
When the sound levels in a factory or other working environment are
regularly very high (greater than 90 dBA), you should check that the
noise levels are adequately reduced by the hearing protection being worn.
Our prefered products for this type of application are those with either "C" weighted Leq (for HML method) Octave
Band Filters (for Octave Band method), which make a detailed analysis of the noise and then calculate
the level at the ear when wearing different hearing protectors.
If your noise levels are not so extreme then please visit our Basic
Noise at Work Sound Level Meters web page.
